Skeletons.

A group of homeschooling kids and I learned about Skeletons at the Buffalo Zoo on the 12th of January, and I went to learn about animals by looking at bones and animals. Skeletons are extremely cool, and useful in our life, and if it wasn't for them, I couldn't be writing this. I especially need them for swinging my feet right now. And speaking of feet, did you know we once had opposable thumbs on our feet? When we took to walking, the toes bumped into rocks and such. So we got rid of them for the place of nice, arrow like feet! And, with feet in the head, (don't ask), I can tell you that a full grown giraffe has the power to kick a lion hard enough to snap its spinal cord. They also have tiny horns to ram stuff with. Road runners have very small and soft bones, so they are as light as can be.

I had a awesome time! It was great. Adios!

Planetarium!

A group of homeschooling kids and I went to a planetarium at a high school on the 16th of January so we could learn about stars by watching an artificial sky. We learned that the Mayans (and their calender) and a overwhelming large amount of ancient Mexican Indians had wonder and curiosity of the stars. They planted, had religions, buildings, artifacts, and more that point out that they needed the stars. They knew that the "morning" and "evening" star was the same one, that they revolved around the sun, and that they looked in the water to see the stars.

I learned a lot, and it was all cool. Thanks, and adios!

Touch Tank

A group of homeschooling kids and I went to a touch tank at the Niagara Aquarium on the 6th of January so we could feel marine animals by touching them. It was really cool! I especially liked the horseshoe crab. I also liked the lobsters and the hermit crabs. And I also found out that my breath is very good smelling to starfish. I learned how to hold a spider crab. I also found out that it takes a starfish 1 whole year to regrow an arm. And I got to see a sea lion show! Sea lions can jump and do all sorts of stuff. They need it to get food and run from predators. They are also extremely friendly!
They are dogs of the sea. And speaking of that, seals are the cats.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun! Thanks, and adios!
