Skintones and Art

Adventure Van here with a blog about drawing Skintones! For those interested in working on art and the live form, it's important to use the correct type of colors to not go for racist caricatures and stereotypes. That's why looking at more natural skin tones, or even skin tone wheels like the one below, can be of great important to those who are in positions where they'll be doing artwork viewed by an indefinite amount of people. It can be a horrible mistake when colors are done poorly and can be viewed as potentially dehumanizing someone, completely accidentally.
