Pan itself. (Credit: National Geographic) |
Hey guys, it's Adventure Van here with a blog about Pan, one of Saturn's most moon-like thing orbiting it.. Unlike what the title says, Pan isn't food, but its shape can be compared to look like a piece of pirogi. It's a result of thousands to millions of years of gravity pulling in ice and stone particles from from the band, resulting in a bulge that makes up the 30-mile planet. The new images that show this are taken from the satellite Atlas, which is nearing the end of its lifespan. Because of concerns that Pan and other large-moons like it could be habitable, Atlas will be crashing into the atmosphere of Saturn itself. If you want to read about it yourself, check
here!
That's Adventure Van, orbiting away
and away and away ... ....
