Interesting People: A 'Jack' of all trades: Jack White.

Hey guy's, it's Adventure Van here with a blog post about Jack White, who's best known as one of the members of The White Stripes, and as producer of the song 'Fell In Love with a Girl.' He's also is a 'confusing' rock star, who's been labeled 'eccentric' and is also known to have mislead about his private life multiple times. He's also a little known jokester, having hidden 2 records by the Upholsterers in to furniture, as well as a micromanager when it came to his recordings, which got him a Honoree status from the Producers and Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy for "to working diligently to ensure that the quality and integrity of recorded music are captured and preserved." All in all, he's a very annoying person to research, and is a very interesting man.

This thing exists? Ep. 1, the Albert Clock.

Hey guys, it's Adventure Van here with a kick-starter blog for my new Series: This thing exists? In this series, I'll be talking about some real weird things that are on the market currently. From items that lets you lick your cats to devices that have 18 sides, each to stop you from fidgeting in a separate way, there's always that one weird thing we look at and say: How is this person NOT in an asylum? Here's the start of the Series!

Have you ever looked at an army time clock and said: "To easy?" Looked at a hour and minute hand and said: "Why can't this be a challenge?" Well, you probably haven't. But, for those of you who did, the Albert Clock is in existence. It tells the time, but it tells you them in a mathematical equation. Ranging from simple things like + and - for kids to the 4th level, which includes division and multiplication, this clock makes you work your brains out just for the time. But, it's a bit more rewarding to figure out that 6/3 and 5*4 is 2:20 then just looking at your phone. It costs $295 dollars, and can be found at either the above link.

It's My State!

Hey guys, it's Adventure Van here with a blog about the It's My State series, a school book supplement to curriculum involving the States. With books about every state and some important counties, and more, this series has information that will help add to any class about states. I read Texas, Rhode Island, and Washington.

Each of the books that I read are sectioned into 5 chapters, which is then sectioned into several topics.
It's optimized to be fun to read but still being able to convey information, with lists and pictures placed stragetcaly in the book. It was a great read, and it's actually got some neat information in it! It's a 34 book series, so there's an above average chance that you'll find a book about which state you want.

Passion Play: The Ressurection of a Epic

Hey guys, it's Adventure Van here with a blog about one of the most gigantic plays Buffalo has ever seen, the Canisius College Passion Play. In this blog I'll explain what the Passion Play is, talk about one of the largest stages that existed in America, and how some of the highest tech equipment then compares to nowadays equipment.

The Passion Play is about the story of Jesus Christ, whom is believed by some to have existed, and his journey from the last supper to his resurrection. It's size ranges from small to GIGANTIC, with the last one in Buffalo having 700 people and over 20 live animals, including several camels that were donated to the Buffalo Zoo afterwards.

The stage that was created for the Passion Play (in 1920) was 175 feet wide and 86 feet deep, with a total area of over 15 thousand feet! It costed 100s of thousands to create, and had room for 3,000 people. What was amazing however, was the fact that it was 7 times safer then the requirements of the time period in all sections, making it one of the safest theaters in NY. It's size/safety ratio is still one of the best in the USA!

It had several people gifted with inventiveness making and buying the tech for the play. Things like the Linnebach Lantern are being upgraded even now, being used to have over hundreds of backgrounds that gave the play a better feeling. The most used technology was the spotlight, which instead of casting someone to be Jesus, actually used 'a grand beam of light' to resemble him, which is most used in one of the final scenes, with him being reborn and slightly grayer then all earlier scenes.

That's that. Adventure Van, out!
