Hey guys, Adventure Van here with a blog on If I was Your Girl, a book written by Meredith Russo. If I was Your Girl is a book about a transsexual female named Amanda Hardy, and her relationships with people in the new town she has moved into. The story centers around her, and it can get quite graphic, especially towards the finale. It has a solid plot and story line, decently depth-ed out characters, and good resources for real trans people to potentially use. However, it does, out of it's own control, fall into the stereotype that LGBTQA+ is a genre and not a fact of life. I am looking forward to more books where characters can have these attributes without them being the main focus.
