Ecosystem Blog.

I learned about a lot of ecosystem, like tundras and deserts, rainforests and plains, and more! A tundra is basically a desert, only that it has snow instead of sand and cold instead of warmth. Rainforests and plains are very different. If the two of them had the same type of rain storm, both would react differently to the same thing. That is because that these biomes have different animals, plants and terrain. taking a prairie dog and a squirrel and switching them would NOT be  a good idea. They wouldn't last long, not knowing what to do, not knowing what to eat, how to defend from predators, the list goes on and on. Take humans. Taking someone from one city, county, country, and putting him (or her) into a different city, county, or country will not have good results.

That is a sum of what I learned. Adios!

Cow Eye Dissection.

Yup. I. Dissected. A. Cow. Eye. And. A. Grasshopper. And. It. Was....
AWESOME. Really Cool. I got to look at the retina, cornea, pupil, lens. and iris. Cows can only move their eyes up and down, side to side. And not in combination. However, they can see in the dark, to watch out for predators. Then we did a Grasshopper, which had two set of wings, but one of which worked. The other was for protecting the working ones, the hind wings. The protectors were fore wings. I got to look at the air sack, and the inside of the head, thorax and abdomen. They also have a compound and simple eye!

Yup, dissecting is really cool. I'll be blogging about a mouse next time I do! Adios!

History. World War II: Hitler

Hitler is... well... very well known. That is, for leading Germany straight into World War two.But about other things? No one cares to ask about that, for "he's a evil man and that's that." But we, as humans, are drawn to curiosity, as I was to Adolf Hitler's background. He was born in 1889 and died in 1945. He was a Chancellor in 1933, and he launched a massive program of state spending that wiped out unemployment. He was unwavering in his anti-Semitism and hatred of communism. His moves to military progress were more tentative. He joined and became leader of the Nazis, and he slowly began to thing that world war I could be avenged. The Nazis began rising in votes, and soon Hitler was in control of Germany. He named himself Der Fuhrer. And then he started the war.

That's a little you didn't know! Adios!

Science: Electric Eel

Electric eels aren't that close to eels as much as they are to cat fish and carp. Some people call them "Tasers of the Amazon" as they can produce 5 times as much power as the average American wall socket, WHICH IS 600 VOLTS! They don't bite their prey, but instead radiate it, using the water as a conductor, which stuns prey and discourages predators. They also use only ten volts sometimes, as a radar, because they can only see up to five feet, which means they can't see their own tails, as the average electric eel is 8 feet and 7 inches long.

The reason for all of this? Because they are the perfect example for living electricity (note: not lightning) in the wild, and I'm learning about that in my science! Adios!

Science Blog: Robotics Camp.

I went to a one day Robotics Camp at the Science Museum in Buffalo, New York. We talked about what robots are, what robots were, and what they may be in the future. We,after that, began to play around with snap circuits, which with we learned about circuitry like short circuits, parallel, and series. After that we began to solder, making blinkeys which change which eye they blink thru every seconded.

After that, we had lunch, but after that, (don't know why I put in lunch...) we each got different types of cars, and they had two frequencies: 27 and 49. We separated into two groups. and we had battles, in which the P.P.P.* won again and again. *(Project Pumpkin Pi.) Then, we modified the cars, added, took apart and rewired, subtracted, and changed. I changed P.P.P. into a scarecrow, turning it on it's back wheels and making in slower but more stable.

Over all, I had great fun and would love to thank all the people at the Science Museum for this amazing camp!
