Martin's Fantasy Island/Polish Dance
Heya, Adventure Van here, and I'm about to talk about rides, dances, and phone dooooom. All wrapped into one blog, here is the saga about: Dancing at Martin's Fantasy Island, while part of the Polish Harmony Dance Group. Now, let's start.
RIDES:
Fantasy Island has a lot of rides, and they are all great! Ranging from Bumper-Cars to The Devil's Hole, Sky High to the Crazy Mouse, and all of it leading up to the Silver Comet, an AMAZING roller coaster. Only downside? Screaming. Comes from almost everyone. Other then that, the rides are AMAZING!
PHONE DOOOOOOM:
I lied. Another downside is losing your phone. I lost my phone on the Silver Comet. It runs so fast and bumpiness is maxed to 11. I was lucky enough to have it jump out of my pocket into the car, but if you DO go on it, be sure to take off anything that might fall out. Stuff is literally scattered on the grass from people who said "It won't fall out." Don't be them!
DANCE:
I got in for free. Want to know why? Because I performed there. Performing gives you free tickets for close family. And since I'm part of the Polish Harmony Dance Group, I exchanged being in ten dances/30 minutes of time for a full day of free rides! Speaking of dances/shows, did you know that Fantasy Island has several shows?
OVERALL:
Martin's Fantasy Island is a great fun park that if you're in the area, you should go see. It's not 'free' but the rides inside are. Overall, it's amazing, and for only $ 27.95 for the day, it's worth it.
Talk to you later! Got rides to ride!

WNY Edible Books
Hey, it's amateur blogger and chef Adventure Van, and today I'm blogging about a cake. Not just any cake, but MY cake.
If you want to know why I'd just make a Moby Dick Cake, it's for the WNY Edible Books contest, where you make food, have it impersonate a book, and get judged for it. And then eat like crazy, because 20 other people brought amazing food too. The judges judge by Most Booklike, Most Tasty, and Most Creative. (Cake above won Most Booklike in the Youth Category.)
Just talking about this for the sake of saying: I WON. Goodbye.

Economy: Prices rising up this April.
Inflation is picking up again. Being shoved upwards by rising gas prices, the amount of money needed to buy items is going to increase this April, by 0.4%, the fastest rate in the past three years. Core prices, (which don't include food) were up by 2.1% a year ago, making a five-month streak of growth over 2%. The numbers could make a central bank raise rates this year sooner rather then later.

Haus: Hero Dog!
You're a dog. You've been adopted by a tribe of humans. You've been with them for 1 dog year and two dog months (two human months). They feed you, they pet you, life is good. Then, one day, you're out with a pup (7 year old girl) and a old one (grandmother). Then, you see something. It's a evil worm (rattle snake) who's coming to attack the pup. What do you do?
The answer was obvious for Haus, a German Shepard who fended off a Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake that both Molly (the 7 year old) and her grandmother didn't notice. He sustained 3 separate bites from the venomous worm. He was rushed to the vet, and the bills for treating him were soaring up to $10,000. They started a GoFundMe to help raise enough money, with a goal of $28,000. They were blown away by the $52,594 that total strangers donated to help the hound.
The latest post from the Haus the Hero Dog page was great, saying that "Haus is great. We are needing his urine to clear up before he can come home. Still blood cells in it. Other than that he is good to go."
Just a bit of good news for the day.
