Science Blog: Robotics Camp.

I went to a one day Robotics Camp at the Science Museum in Buffalo, New York. We talked about what robots are, what robots were, and what they may be in the future. We,after that, began to play around with snap circuits, which with we learned about circuitry like short circuits, parallel, and series. After that we began to solder, making blinkeys which change which eye they blink thru every seconded.

After that, we had lunch, but after that, (don't know why I put in lunch...) we each got different types of cars, and they had two frequencies: 27 and 49. We separated into two groups. and we had battles, in which the P.P.P.* won again and again. *(Project Pumpkin Pi.) Then, we modified the cars, added, took apart and rewired, subtracted, and changed. I changed P.P.P. into a scarecrow, turning it on it's back wheels and making in slower but more stable.

Over all, I had great fun and would love to thank all the people at the Science Museum for this amazing camp!

Phcyics

Today I'm going to talk about X-rays.

There are different levels of x-ray's, and you may use some everyday! X-rays are used to scan airports, bodies, and phone lines to check for fault's in the wires. Some x-rays actually travel thru wire in order to find fault's where electricity could escape if the x-ray can. Body x-rays look for the bone's of faults in a body that could kill someone if not dealt with correctly. And airports look thru almost any thing except lead in order to make sure that they are safe materials to board the plane. They all are in different frequency.

I'm using one right now! Wifi is a cousin to the x rays that go in wires, letting everyone know exactly what I'm writing appear on their screen! It's a small frequency, used for phones as well, while larger frequencies are used for actual x-rays! The largest frequncey known is so powerful it could go scan up to 10 passenger planes without needing to 'stop', as x-rays sometime's need to do. That's why if you are using a computer in the woods, the x-ray would bounce around and take longer to load as it 'rests', or, if you are unlucky, the x-ray might lose some of the information or not get it at all!

So, I hope you realize that you are using a x-ray right now!

See you lot later! Adventure Van is out!

History Blog

The crystal palace was a palace made of glass. It was made in England by over 500 people, and was made to show off the exhibits that were requested from all around the world. England was gaining lots of money for the two million people who came in between may 1 and Oct. 15. It was at London's Hyde Park, and 'there was millions of people' according to the diary of one of the many goers.

It is still standing, but isn't as popular. But if your visiting England, put it on the top of your list!

Magdeburg Experiment

Otto Von Guericke made the Magdeburg hemispheres, two bronze bowls with suction cups in the middle, and then he attached them together and pumped the air out. He then hooked up hid four horses, two on each side. The horse were baited too go in opposite directions and then ran forward, until their leads ran out, because then the sealed ball, though emtpy, was being held together by air pressure.

That discovery, it gave scientists a big boost, and we're still learning about his experiments today, as he had lots of money and time on his hands, being the Mayor of Magdeburg, he was able to do 29 experiments during his lifetime. WOW!

When Tommy gets the chance of a lifetime, or demise, he needs everyone’s story to make a decision.  So everyone, including Tommy, put forth stories, and he grades them all. The Good, The Bad And the Funny all make there appearances, and Tommy decides to go for it and take origami yoda’s advice, until:

Another group of stories to save origami yoda, and Dwight, from the school board. But while trickery makes the school tremble the real threat was Principal Rabbiski, whose had it up to the gills with origami.
She throws out the majority of the clone army, and suspensions Tommy, and then tries to win the students over and put herself in power… WITH A PIZZA PARTY! Unfortunately, it fails badly, and the students like her worse than ever, and the principle looses. But Dwight gets sent of to private school, and gets to be in the same class as HIS GIRLFRIEND! It’s all well and good for him, but boredom city for the students at his school.

Troopers and get into the “Hypno Room”, He decides it’s time to lift the mask off Darth Paper, revealing Anikin Skyfolder! He makes it into the “Hypno Room” and sabotages the performance. Dwight gets convinced to come back, and it was all good until….
